World IN Focus
Love, Camera... Action!
Join Girls IN Focus for an innovative film program, World IN Focus, geared towards girls and non-binary youth, ages 12-18. Participants will collaborate remotely during this 3-week, M-F, online filmmaking program and make a project from idea to finished film!
We are proud to host top industry professionals mentoring in their area of expertise like Emmy Award-winning writer from 'The Office' and 'Space Force', Brent Forrester, teaches script writing workshop.
A-list film industry professionals will teach daily workshops on writing, storyboarding, directing, camera & sound, editing and animation. We also have special industry guests drop by for Q & A's throughout the program.
Redefining traditional filmmaking in this first of its kind educational program, we teach Premier editing software Adobe After Effects, and using iPhones, participants will receive support from a producer and make a film, while collaborating via Zoom in small groups.
Everyone will be hands-on in every phase of the process, including the writing, shooting and editing of the film.
There will be a screening of all films in a virtual film festival , GIF Film Fest, on Friday evening following the conclusion of the program. Please join us and invite your friends.
College credit is an option for outgoing seniors. Please inquire for details.

How: Students need access to an iPhone 6 or newer, plus reliable internet and a computer with access to a microphone, speakers and webcam.
